The Westport Youth Commission brings together town officials, other adults and students to provide a forum for addressing the needs of young people in our community. The current WYC functions with two sub-committees, including: Peer Education & Awareness and Town Improvements.
The Teen Awareness Group was established in 2001. We are an alliance of high school students with diverse beliefs and opinions, from all backgrounds and social groups, dedicated to helping peers navigate the many pressures they face today; to take responsibility for themselves and others; and to manage the lures of unhealthy or risky behaviors through healthy social decision-making strategies.
Kool 2 Be Kind
A SHS Club that trains, creates and implements empathy- based lessons in the elementary schools focusing on leadership development, peer to peer modeling and positive relationships.
